Summit County Akron Arrests A Nome Avenue man, 34, was charged with burglary, domestic violence, assault on a police officer and escape. The man crashed his vehicle into his mother's home, which he then ransacked while his mother hid in the basement. The man then broke into a neighbor's home, stole a cell phone and returned to his mother's home, police said. When officers arrived, the man jumped naked out of a window and charged at officers. The man resisted arrest, kicked at officers and yelled obscenities, police said.
